Our story

The LudoSport Brussels Academy project was born in the autumn of 2015. After doing a lot of research and contacting many people, our rector, Jérôme Middernacht, decided to follow the course to become a LudoSport instructor in order to open the Brussels Academy.

On March 7, 2016, the academy opened its doors on the Solbosch campus of the ULB, which stood out for the quality of its sports facilities and accessibility.

Since the opening of the academy, LudoSport Brussels has brought together students in several clans, and trial classes are organised at different times of the year, always gathering more people. The academy has also been able to count on exceptionally talented and motivated students who are now contributing to its day-to-day work.

There are obviously many goals to be accomplished and the academy is still young. However, LudoSport continues to grow and bring together people from diverse backgrounds around the same sport.

Our team

Jérôme “Ceyx” Middernacht

Founder and rector of the academy
Form 1, 2 and 3 instructor, Form 1 Tecnico

In the winter of 2015, Jérôme embarks upon the LudoSport adventure by participating in his first instructor course. In March 2016, he opens the academy and welcomes his first students.
Impatient to see his academy grow, he continues the instructor training and completes the Form 2 and Form 3 training courses between the summer of 2016 and the summer of 2018.
As Rector, he is the one who manages the academy and ensures its day-to-day functioning by regulating administrative matters.
In 2017, he wins the 1st place in Style (which rewards the good execution of the techniques and the ability to mix the Forms) in the national tournament, and therefore qualifies for the Champions Arena, the international LudoSport tournament.
In May 2018, Jérôme becomes Tecnico of Form 1, a title that will allow him to train new instructors!

Laura “Fumble” Mailleux

Public relations & community manager
Form 1 instructor and Form 1 Tecnico

Laura joins the academy in May 2016. At the end of the summer of the same year, she begins to get involved in the academy by taking over the social media accounts and all communication matters. After a little more than a year as a student, she becomes a Form 1 instructor in August 2017.
She is now helping Jérôme for the organisation of the academy and its events. In 2017, she wins the 3rd place in Style at the national tournament and qualifies for the Champions Arena.
In May 2018, Laura becomes Tecnico of Form 1, a title that will allow her to train new instructors!

Noah “Sora” Cleeremans

Form 1 instructor

Noah joins the academy in February 2017.
He places 3rd on the podium at his first national tournament, and 3rd in Style at his second participation, qualifying himself for Champions Arena 2017 and 2018!
Two years after his first steps in the world of LudoSport, Noah becomes a Form 1 instructor and joins the team!
